Here are some thoughtful reflections as a result of my engagements with The Ravages of Time.
Let me just reiterate that more than any other animanga series, Ravages challenged me to think more and conduct further research. Now this is not to say, in elitist fashion, that other 'shallow' series are not worth one's attention, because part of the Ravages learning experience is precisely that with the appropriate lenses to engage and with enough conscientious attention, reading anything (even works of 'vulgar' entertainment) can become all the more enriching and rewarding. Just think about this, if loyal fans and students of other series can already discuss so much about their favorites (even though they aren't as intricate as Ravages), now imagine what sorts of insights and nuances would be brought out (in ways understandable to Anglophone readers) the moment more people start discussing Ravages.
Anyway, study hard.
